Wastage isn’t a scam

Cuts, breakage, patterns, and shade matching usually require extra material. Too low a wastage buffer can cause last-minute mismatch and delays.

Note: guidance is general. On-site conditions can change the right choice. Use this as a checklist, not a substitute for an engineer/contractor.

What to ask

  • Confirm recommended wastage % for your layout (straight vs diagonal vs patterns).

Red flags

  • !Someone pushes “0% wastage” or refuses to match lot for top-up boxes later.
